As you know Jacksonville Elementary needs to raise funds for new playground equipment. The large play structure on the playground was deemed unsafe and has been removed. Members of the PTO are working on the following initiatives to expedite the process of getting the new structure in place for our students.
  • The Fundraising Committee (Codi Spodnik. Diane Patten and Sandy Metwally) are approaching large corporations in our community for sponsorship.
  • Sandy Metwally is submitting grants asking for support with this project.
  • We are also hoping for significant support from our school community. The more "seed" money
that we have committed up front, the more likely we are to get grants and matching grants.
  • Order forms were sent home for purchase of Organic Pizzas from Amy's Kitchen.
All money collected will go straight to the playground! So far we have earned over $670! Thanks to all the families who purchased the pizzas!
  • The Spaghetti Feed & Raffle held March 2nd was a great success! Over $7000 was raised and all is going to the playground fund! Thank you to all who attended and we look forward to seeing you again next year!
Volunteer help is needed! Please email the PTO at pto@jacksonvillepto.com to find out how you can be a part of helping with the above efforts. Thank you!
